Betty Crocker is Gluten Free!
Yes, it’s true, Betty Crocker now has gluten free cake mixes including Brownie Mix, Cookie Mix, Chocolate Devils Food Mix and Yellow Cake Mix. Why do I care so much about gluten free cake mixes? Not because I’m crazy about eating cakes (I do like a good cake though). I have been living with Celiac disease (gluten allergy) for 2 years now. I probably had Cceliac longer than 2 years but didn’t recognize the symptoms at the time. Two of my children have Celiac as well. Unfortunately we were all genetically pre-disposed to the allergy, since my Dad has it too…… thanks Dad. So we have been eating gluten free for a few years now and I must say it’s not as bad as what people may think, but every now and then I do miss the convenience of a cake mix. Hurray for Betty Crocker! I hope other companies follow suit.
